It is reported that in August, MMKI became Ukraine largest steelmaker surpassing AMKR with a 16%MoM growth to reach 486,000 tonnes monthly output. IUD's DMKD and ALKZ production jumped by 39% and 63%, respectively due to a resumed supply of the required resources.
According to Millennium Capital analyst "The news is POSITIVE for steel producers. MMKI has shown substantial production increase, planning to capitalize on the rising global steel prices. ALMK and DMKD resumed operations, apparently settling or restructuring the debt for raw materials supplied by Metinvest."
